Chennai, July 16 -- Heralding a new age in India's space sector, the country's first privately developed orbital-class rocket Vikram-1, the first test flight named "Mission Aagaman" (Arrival), is all set for its maiden launch from the spaceport of Srharikota in Andhra Pradesh, about 100 km from here, on July 18 at 1130 hrs. .
The mission would herald opening up the era of private orbital launches in India's stupendous space journey.
The rocket, developed by the Hyderabad-based Skyroot Aerospace, would lift off from the First Launch Pad at 1130 hrs, ISRO sources when contacted by UNI said on Thursday.
It would be launched into a 450 km Low Earth Orbit with an inclination of 60 degrees.
