Nagpur, July 13 -- : With dengue cases rising every monsoon in Nagpur, a ray of hope has emerged as an indigenously developed vaccine against the viral disease has entered the Phase-3 clinical trial stage and could become available within the next six to eight months, subject to regulatory approvals, experts said.
Besides the Indian vaccine candidate, two foreign pharmaceutical companies are also working on developing dengue vaccines.
The progress of the domestic vaccine was highlighted by Dr Paramanand Andankar during a dengue awareness workshop organised for paediatricians by an NGO at a venue on North Ambazari Road in the city.
