Nikhil VyasNew Delhi, June 23 -- Categorically rejecting charges by Pakistan Defence Minister Khawaja Asif blaming New Delhi for the violence in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK), India on Tuesday stated that such allegations were a ''desperate attempt by Islamabad to divert attention from its own failures and human rights abuses''.
Addressing a media briefing here, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal, while responding to a media query on the Pakistan Defence Minister's remarks, said, "Such remarks are desperate attempts by Pakistan to cover up its own failings and deflect attention away from its human rights abuses.
