Hyderabad, July 23 -- union Minister of State for Home Affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar on Thursday said India is preparing to host the 2030 Commonwealth Games and is moving systematically to become one of the world's top 10 sporting nations by 2036 and among the top five by 2047.
Speaking after inaugurating the 11th All India Police Judo Cluster Championship 2026 at the GMC Balayogi Indoor Stadium in Gachibowli, Bandi Sanjay said the Narendra Modi government considers sports a key pillar of nation-building and has significantly increased investment in the sector.
