New Delhi, April 2 -- India is working towards bringing into force a free trade agreement with Oman from May 1, Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal said on Thursday at a presser after a series of engagements at the 14th Ministerial Conference of the World Trade Organization in Cameroon.
Highlighting the outcome of his bilateral meeting with Oman's leadership, Goyal said, "We are working towards bringing into effect the agreement with Oman. on 1st of May 2026," signalling a key step in expanding India's trade footprint in West Asia.
