Bengaluru, Sept. 8 -- India will need a mix of domestic and international capital, including multilateral lenders, pension funds and private equity, to bridge the estimated USD 150 billion financing gap for its next phase of renewable energy expansion, MNRE Secretary Santosh Kumar Sarangi said on Tuesday.
Speaking at an MNRE roadshow in Bengaluru ahead of the Bharat Renewable Energy Summit and Expo, Sarangi said the scale of investment required for India's green-energy transition would require participation from a wide range of global financial institutions and investors.
