London, May 1 -- India's men's and women's teams delivered dominant performances to seal their places in Stage 2 of the ITTF World Team Table Tennis Championships 2026, finishing on top of their respective Stage 1 groups with emphatic wins in their final league ties at the OVO Arena Wembley on Thursday.

The Indian women's team had earlier received a walkover against Uganda and then edged past Ukraine in a closely fought contest, putting themselves in a strong position in Stage 1b Group 6. They capped off their group campaign in style by blanking Rwanda 3-0.
