New Delhi, March 24 -- Marking World Tuberculosis Day, India on Tuesday launched a first-of-its-kind global clinical study to scientifically evaluate the role of Ayurveda alongside standard tuberculosis treatment, with union Minister Jitendra Singh calling it a major step towards achieving a "TB Mukt Bharat".
The landmark study, jointly undertaken by the Department of Biotechnology under the Ministry of Science and Technology and the Ministry of AYUSH, aims to assess Ayurveda as an adjunct to conventional anti-tuberculosis therapy (ATT) through rigorous scientific validation.
