New Delhi, June 23 -- Condoling the death of 12 Indian nationals who were killed in an explosion at the Ras Laffan Industrial City gas facility in Qatar on June 21, India on Tuesday said that authorities are working closely on identification and are in talks with local authorities for the transportation of the mortal remains.

Addressing his weekly media briefing, Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said, "The deaths of 12 Indian nationals are very unfortunate. Several people of other nationalities also lost their lives, but we lost 12 of our nationals in the tragedy at the Ras Laffan gas field, where an explosion occurred.
