Ranchi, June 4 -- : Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leaders on Thursday said no discussions had yet been held within the INDIA bloc in Jharkhand regarding strategy or candidates for the upcoming Rajya Sabha elections.

The issue came up during a meeting of senior RJD leaders at the party's state office here. Among those present were state president Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav, legislature party leader Suresh Paswan, state minister Sanjay Prasad Yadav and MLA Ram Naresh Singh.

Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Sanjay Kumar Singh Yadav said the RJD was a constituent of the INDIA alliance, but neither the Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) nor the Congress had so far initiated discussions with the party on the Rajya Sabha elections.
