Ranchi, June 6 -- India defeated Korea 3-0 to secure the bronze medal in the Women's Under-18 Asia Cup hockey tournament being held in Kakamigahara, Japan from May 29 to June 6.
Jharkhand's Sandeepa Kumari opened the scoring in the second minute to give India an early lead in the third-place playoff. Captain Sweety Kujur doubled the advantage in the 16th minute before Nausheen Naz added a third goal in the 33rd minute to seal the victory.
Sandeepa was named Player of the Match for her performance.
