New Delhi, June 4 -- India assistant coach Ryan ten Doeschate has said the fitness of senior batters Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma will be monitored over the next few days before a final decision is taken on their availability for the upcoming three-match ODI series against Afghanistan.
Rohit's participation remains uncertain after he suffered a hamstring injury during IPL 2026, while Kohli is also under a cloud after picking up a hamstring strain while scoring an unbeaten 75 in Royal Challengers Bengaluru's title-winning IPL final in Ahmedabad on June 1.
