Aichi-Nagoya, Sept. 30 -- India secured a medal in the women's team squash event at the Asian Games here on Wednesday, defeating Singapore 2-0 in the quarter-finals as Tanvi Khanna and Anahat Singh delivered the wins that took the team into the last four.
Tanvi set the tone for India with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over Wai Iynn Au Yeong, winning 11-6, 4-11, 15-13, 11-1.
After surrendering the second game, Tanvi held her nerve in a closely fought third game, edging it 15-13 before dominating the fourth to complete the victory.
Anahat then produced a commanding performance to seal the tie, defeating Wai Yhann Au Yeong 3-0, 11-7, 11-3, 11-4.
