New Delhi, Aug. 26 -- Commerce and Industry Minister Piyush Goyal has called for deeper collaboration between India and Japan in startups, deep technology, manufacturing and innovation, as the two countries look to build stronger links between their respective business ecosystems.
Speaking at the India-Japan Startup Roundtable in Tokyo, Goyal said India has emerged as the world's third-largest startup ecosystem, with nearly 250,000 startups established over the past decade.
He highlighted India's large domestic market, growing pool of science and technology talent, digital public infrastructure and expanding innovation ecosystem as key factors that could attract greater Japanese investment and technology partnerships.
