Srinagar, Feb. 24 -- Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police Nalin Prabhat on Tuesday reviewed the security situation and operational preparedness in north Kashmir's Bandipora district and Sopore Police District, stressing the need for intensified intelligence gathering and sustained action against terrorism.

Prabhat first visited Police District Sopore where he chaired a comprehensive security review meeting to assess the prevailing security scenario and operational preparedness in the district.

The DGP was accompanied by Special DG Coordination S.J.M. Geelani, IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi, and DIG North Kashmir Range Maqsood-ul-Zaman.
