Puducherry, March 1 -- In a major boost to infrastructure development, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday launched various big ticket Railway and multiple developmental projects in this poll-bound union Territory to the tune of Rs 2,400 crores.

Earlier, after his whistle stop tour of Rajasthan and Gujarat, the Prime Minister landed in Chennai last night and was received at the airport by Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi, Finance Minister Thangam Thennarasu and state BJP Leaders and AIADMK leaders including General Secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami, heading the NDA alliance in this poll-bound State.
