Chennai, Sept. 11 -- Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Vijay landed in London on Saturday on his first overseas visit, to woo fresh industrial investments to the State, besides strengthening existing business ties with British UK firms by inkings pacts with them to achieve the goal of transforming the State into usd 1.5 trillion economy in next 10 years.
Vijay, in his first overseas tour after assuming office, left Chennai on Thursday night and reached Dubai where the flight had a stopover. He later continued his journey to London, where he was accorded a warm welcome on his arrival at the airport by a large number of Tamil diaspora who greeted and welcomed with Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam flags.
