Agartala, April 27 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a seven-day weather forecast for Tripura, warning of widespread rainfall and thunderstorms, particularly in the state's northern parts, later this week.

According to the IMD bulletin, most places across the state are expected to experience light to moderate rain or thundershowers on Monday, which began last evening and disrupted flight operations at Agartala airport.

There is a likelihood of thunderstorms accompanied by lightning and gusty winds reaching speeds of 30-40 kmph at isolated locations.
