Panchkula, Sept. 18 -- The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast scattered rainfall over Haryana, Chandigarh and Delhi and isolated rain over Punjab on Thursday, with conditions becoming favourable for the withdrawal of the southwest monsoon from parts of west Rajasthan around September 19.

According to the IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued on Friday morning, isolated to scattered rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning is likely over the remaining parts of northwest India.

East Rajasthan is likely to receive isolated heavy rainfall on September 18, accompanied by thunderstorms, lightning, and gusty winds reaching 40-50 kmph, with gusts up to 60 kmph.
