Panchkula, Aug. 10 -- The monsoon will remain active across northwestern India. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecasts heavy rainfall at isolated places over Haryana, Punjab, Chandigarh and Delhi on August 10.

Himachal Pradesh is likely to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated places.

According to the IMD's All India Weather Summary and Forecast Bulletin issued at 8.44 am on August 10, fairly widespread to widespread rainfall is likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand during August 10-15.

It is also expected over the Jammu-Kashmir-Ladakh region during August 10-13. Isolated to scattered rainfall is likely over the remaining parts of northwest India.
