Dhanbad, Sept. 1 -- IIT-ISM Dhanbad, in collaboration with SPIC MACAY, organised a lecture-demonstration on Hindustani classical vocal music at the Penman Auditorium, offering students an opportunity to experience India's classical music tradition.
The programme featured Hindustani classical vocalists Ritesh Mishra and Rajnish Mishra, sons of the late classical vocalist duo Pandit Rajan Mishra and Pandit Sajan Mishra.
They were accompanied by Sumit Mishra on harmonium and Kaushik Kuvar on tabla.
The artists presented Hindustani classical compositions and interacted with the audience on various aspects of the musical tradition, its forms and the importance of preserving India's cultural heritage.
