Dhanbad (Jharkhand), May 5 -- The Indian Institute of Technology (Indian School of Mines), Dhanbad has commissioned a 1.5 MW grid-connected rooftop solar power plant on its campus.
The facility, located at Substation-4 near the Health Centre, was inaugurated by Padma Shri awardee Ashok Bhagat in the presence of IIT (ISM) director Sukumar Mishra and NIT Durgapur director Arvind Choubey.
With a capacity of 1500 kW (AC) and 1854 kWp, the solar plant is expected to enhance clean energy generation and reduce the institute's carbon footprint.
