Bhubaneswar, Aug. 25 -- IIT-Bhubaneswar has developed a queue-based system to streamline darshan at the revered 12th-century Sri Jagannath Temple in Puri, amid a steady rise in the number of devotees visiting the shrine, particularly during holidays.

The proposal was discussed at a high-level meeting chaired by Odisha Law Minister Prithviraj Harichandan on Monday to explore measures for ensuring smooth and orderly darshan for devotees, said officials.

During the meeting, IIT Bhubaneswar presented multiple models for regulating the movement of devotees and managing queues at the temple. The authorities discussed the models to identify the most effective system for implementation.
