Srinagar, Sept. 10 -- Inspector General of Police (IGP) Kashmir Sujit Kumar on Thursday reviewed the security situation, counter-terrorism grid and law and order arrangements during a visit to the twin South Kashmir districts of Kulgam and Shopian.
Accompanied by Deputy Inspector General of Police, South Kashmir, Javed Iqbal Mattoo-, the IGP assessed operational preparedness and directed field formations to strengthen proactive intelligence gathering, ensure close inter-agency coordination and respond swiftly to emerging security challenges.
He also stressed the need to maintain sustained pressure on terrorist ecosystems and adopt zero tolerance towards elements attempting to disrupt peace and public order.
