Bhubaneswar, Aug. 11 -- Around 400 students from Classes 9 to 12 participated in the ICMR-SHINE (Science & Health Innovation for the Nextgen Explorers) Initiative 2026, hosted by the ICMR-National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), Bhubaneswar, on Tuesday to foster scientific curiosity and interest in biomedical research among young minds.

The day-long programme, organised as part of the nationwide SHINE initiative being conducted across 28 ICMR institutes and field units, provided students with hands-on exposure to biomedical research through laboratory visits, live demonstrations, exhibitions, films and interactions with scientists.
