New Delhi, Aug. 11 -- The government on Tuesday launched the second edition of theICMR-SHINE (Science and Health Innovation for NextGen Explorers) programme, a nationwide initiative aimed at giving school students a first-hand look at scientific research in Indian laboratories.
The two-day programme, organised by the Department of Health Research (DHR) and the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), was launched in Delhi and is being held simultaneously at 83 locations across the country, from Keylong in Himachal Pradesh to Nagaland, according to Health Ministry officials.
Addressing the inaugural session, Rajiv Bahl, Secretary, DHR, and Director General, ICMR, urged students to stay curious and pursue science with confidence.
