New Delhi, June 22 -- The International Cricket Council (ICC) has introduced new "Return to Play Post-Pregnancy" guidelines aimed at helping female cricketers balance motherhood and professional sport, while ensuring they receive proper support during pregnancy and their return to competitive cricket.
The guidelines provide a framework for cricket boards to support players through pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. They recommend appointing a dedicated case manager for each player, offering flexible training schedules, childcare and travel support, and ensuring access to medical and mental wellbeing services.
