Bhubaneswar, March 8 -- The ICAR-Central Institute of Freshwater Aquaculture, Bhubaneswar, and Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Khordha, on Sunday jointly organized a workshop with the theme of "Empowering SC Women Farmers through Women-Friendly Aquaculture Technologies" as part of the observance of International Women's Day 2026.
A total of 100 farm women from the Balipatna block of Khordha district attended theworkshop.
Dr Kanta Das Mahapatra, former Principal Scientist, ICAR-CIFA, gave a presentation on "Freshwater aquaculture as a livelihood option for farm women".
