Jammu, Aug. 11 -- To assess operational preparedness, strengthen security arrangements and ensure a prompt response to any contingency, ahead of the forthcoming Independence Day celebrations, Jammu and Kashmir Police on Tuesday conducted a Long-Range Patrolling (LRP) and a mock anti-terror drill in the border areas of Samba district.

As per the officials, the Long-Range Patrolling was conducted by the Special Operation Group, Samba, along the Jammu-Pathankot National Highway from Jatwal to Lala Chak.
