Patna, May 27 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today welcomed the approval for the country's first hydrogen-powered 10-coach DEMU train, describing it as a major step towards building a greener and modern future for Indian Railways.

Choudhary said here that the hydrogen fuel cell-based train would strengthen the vision of clean energy-driven transportation and give fresh momentum to the goal of an "Aatmanirbhar Bharat". He said the project reflects the Centre's commitment towards environmental protection and sustainable development.
