Hyderabad, July 19 -- The Hyderabad City Police have registered 563 cases under the NDPS Act and seized banned narcotics worth Rs 22.17 crore between June 2025 and June 2026 as part of a comprehensive strategy to make the city drug-free.
According to the police statement release on Sunday, the seizures included 2,513 kg of ganja worth Rs 12.56 crore, 55.3 litres of hashish oil (Rs 6.91 crore), 1,626 grams of MDMA (Rs1.62 crore), 129 grams of cocaine (Rs 4.5 lakh), 120 grams of heroin (Rs 24 lakh), 570 LSD blots (Rs 17.1 lakh) and 220 grams of opium.
The highest number of cases was registered in the Jubilee Hills zone (116), followed by Secunderabad (99), Golconda (95), Charminar (90), Rajendranagar (84), Khairatabad (49) and Shamshabad (3...
