Hyderabad, March 19 -- The Hyderabad Food Adulteration Surveillance Team (H-FAST) has been launched to strengthen enforcement against food adulteration and ensure public safety.

The initiative has been set up under the leadership of Hyderabad Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar in coordination with Food Safety Officers.

The unit was inaugurated by IPS officer Gaikwad Vaibhav Raghunath, marking the rollout of an intelligence-driven mechanism to detect and act against unsafe food practices.

H-FAST comprises 28 personnel, including Inspectors, Sub-Inspectors, and supporting staff, who will focus on surveillance, detection, and prosecution in food adulteration cases. The team will conduct raids in coordination with Food Safety officials to ensu...
