Hyderabad, Sept. 23 -- Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V.C. Sajjanar on Wednesday said the police were fully prepared for the Maha Nimajjanam (Ganesh immersion) procession scheduled for September 25, with elaborate security and traffic arrangements in place across the city.
Addressing a press conference at the Auditorium, TG ICCC Building, Hyderabad, the Commissioner said around 20,000 police personnel, 10,000 CCTV cameras and 24 drones would be deployed to monitor the immersion procession and ensure the safety of devotees.
He said the arrangements had been made in coordination with the State government, GHMC and other departments to manage thousands of idols and lakhs of devotees expected to participate in the final procession. So far...
