Hyderabad, June 26 -- The Cyber Crime Police of Hyderabad City have busted a Rs 1.46 crore matrimony-cum-investment fraud by arresting four persons allegedly involved in the cybercrime, police said on Friday.

The arrested accused were identified as Chokkala Sampath (29), a resident of Siddipet, and Hechu Naresh (37), Endla Suresh (43) and Vadkala Mahesh (33), all residents of Secunderabad.

The accused allegedly operated multiple mule bank accounts used to receive and withdraw the cheated money. The funds were subsequently routed to Singapore-based cyber fraudsters through hawala channels, V. Aravind Babu, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Cyber Crimes, Hyderabad City, said in a release.
