Hyderabad, March 13 -- V. C. Sajjanar, Commissioner of Hyderabad City Police, on Friday expressed deep grief over the demise of former Andhra Pradesh Director General of Police H. J. Dora.

In a condolence message, Sajjanar described Dora as one of the finest officers of the Indian Police Service whose distinguished career and leadership left a lasting impact on policing in the state.

He said Dora was a thorough professional and an inspiring leader who commanded immense respect within the police fraternity and beyond.

Recalling Dora's tenure as DGP, Sajjanar noted that he assumed office at a time when Naxalism was at its peak.
