Hyderabad, Sept. 7 -- Tension prevailed near the Telangana Legislative Assembly on Monday when police detained BJP State President N Ramchander Rao and several party leaders during a protest demanding immediate clearance of pending fee reimbursement dues.
BJP leaders and activists attempted to lay siege to the Assembly after they were allegedly denied permission to stage a protest at Indira Park. Ramchander Rao, who was leading the agitation in support of students, was reportedly forcibly taken into custody by police.
BJP State General Secretary N. Gautam Rao, State chief spokesperson N V Subhash and BJP Yuva Morcha State president Ganesh Kunde were among those detained. N V. Subhash reportedly sustained injuries during the police action....
