Hyderabad, Aug. 27 -- : The Telangana Prisons Department has inaugurated Swami Vivekananda Vanam at the Prisoners' Agricultural Colony (PAC), Cherlapalli, outskirts of the city on Thursday, as part of efforts to create a peaceful and positive environment for inmates and support their mental well-being, character building and rehabilitation.
Swami Bodhamayananda , Adhyaksha, Ramakrishna Math, Hyderabad, inaugurated the Vanam in the presence of Dr Soumya Mishra, Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services, Telangana, senior prison officials, staff and inmates.
The green space has been created to provide inmates with a peaceful open-air environment for reflection and personal transformation.
