Hyderabad, June 3 -- After a day of calm conditions, strong winds returned to Hussain Sagar on the second day of the 17th Monsoon Regatta on Wednesday, producing exciting racing and several capsizes as sailors struggled to adapt to gusts reaching 18 knots.
The challenging conditions tested competitors across classes, with the Under-18 fleets delivering some closely fought contests as boats raced at high speeds across the lake.
In the International 420 Class, the Telangana Sailing Association (TSA) duo of Chandralekha Tattari of Udbhav School, Rasoolpura, and Dhanush Jakkula of MJPTBCWREIS Shamirpet dominated proceedings with two impressive victories to top the standings.
