Hyderabad, May 10 -- V. Hanumantha Rao, Advisor (BC Welfare and Department) to the Government and former convener of the OBC MPs Forum, on Saturday began an indefinite hunger strike at his residence in Amberpet in Hyderabad demanding inclusion of Other Backward Classes (OBCs) in the nationwide census being conducted by the Central Government.
Several political leaders and representatives of BC organisations participated in the programme, including Whip Adi Srinivas, MLC Kodandaram, MLA and OBC Committee Chairman Shankaraiah, BC Association president Jajula Srinivas and others.
