Hyderabad, May 31 -- Saifabad police have busted an interstate ganja trafficking racket by arresting two women who allegedly transported narcotic substances from Andhra Pradesh to Maharashtra and seized 21.251 kg of ganja worth several lakhs of rupees, police said today.
Acting on a specific information, a special police team conducted surveillance near the Lakdikapul Railway Station parking area in the city on Friday evening and intercepted two women carrying three luggage bags near a private travels parking facility.
The women were subjected to a search in accordance with provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
Police said 19 packets containing 21.251 kg of ganja were recovered from the luggage bags.
