Hyderabad, June 2 -- The 17th Monsoon Regatta National Ranking Sailing Championship got underway on Tuesday under challenging conditions, with light winds and soaring temperatures limiting competition on the opening day at Hussain Sagar.
Organised by the Telangana Sailing Association and hosted by The Yacht Club of Hyderabad (YCH), the regatta features four national junior sailing classes -- the Under-15 Optimist Class, Under-18 Laser Class, International 420 and 29er Skiffs -- apart from the beginners' Half Rig and Optimist Green Fleet categories.
