Hyderabad, Aug. 7 -- The Malkajgiri Police Commissionerate, in collaboration with the Mission for Elimination of Poverty in Municipal Areas (MEPMA), on Friday launched the second phase of the 'Mee Suraksha-Sahachari' programme across all 29 police stations under its jurisdiction to strengthen community policing and women's safety.

The second phase expands the initiative from a Commissionerate-level awareness programme to a structured police station-level partnership between the police and Self-Help Groups (SHGs).

It follows the successful completion of the first phase, during which over 3,000 SHG women were trained as Community Safety Ambassadors (Sahacharis) on women and child safety, cybercrime prevention, legal rights, police services ...
