Hyderabad, May 5 -- A major fire broke out in furniture shops at Bachupally in Medchal-Malkajgiri district.
The fire erupted around midnight on Monday in a row of six furniture shops located near 'My Space' on the main road from Pragathi Nagar Kaman to Bachupally. Massive flames quickly engulfed the area, triggering panic among locals.
Six fire tenders, along with police personnel, rushed to the spot and managed to bring the blaze under control after a strenuous operation.
Residents said a similar fire had occurred in the same area earlier, raising concerns about recurring safety issues.
