Hyderabad, Feb. 28 -- Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) celebrated National Science Day on Saturday with a special lecture titled "India's Agri-Revolution: Shortage to Surplus with Science" at its campus.

The event was organized by the Faculty of Sciences to commemorate the discovery of the Raman Effect by C. V. Raman on February 28, 1928.

Addressing the gathering, University Vice-Chancellor Prof. Ghanta Chakrapani,who attended the programme as Chief Guest, described B. R. Ambedkar, the architect of the Indian Constitution, as a great social scientist who worked for the development of all sections of society.
