Hyderabad, May 21 -- Officials of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Wednesday evening caught a Sub-Inspector of Police and a Police Constable attached to Bowenpally Police Station while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 30,000 from a complainant for extending official favours in a criminal case.
According to the ACB, Sub-Inspector of Police M. Kiran Nandita and Police Constable B. Vijay Kumar were trapped after they allegedly demanded and accepted the bribe to relax bail conditions imposed on the complainant in a case registered under Section 109 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) and to extend police cooperation till finalisation of the case.
