Hyderabad, July 25 -- BJP State President N Ramchander Rao on Saturday emphasized that every Indian should know the life history of Sant Ravidas Maharaj. Despite being born into an underprivileged section of society, he guided the nation with devotion, spirituality, and wisdom.
Rao participated in a function organized to celebrate the 650th birth anniversary of Sant Ravidas Maharaj at the state party office here and paid floral tributes to portrait of the sant.
He said Sant Ravidas Maharaj played a distinguished role in the Bhakti Movement.
Sant Ravidas always stood firmly against caste discrimination, he said adding that the Sant Ramdas has showed people the path of equality, social harmony (samarasata), and devotion.
