Hyderabad, July 23 -- The Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samithi (BGUS) on Thursday inaugurated its office at Baheti Bhawan in Siddiambazar, marking the official commencement of preparations for the 47th Samuhik Ganesh Utsav and Samuhik Ganesh Immersion celebrations in Hyderabad.
The office was inaugurated on the 170th birth anniversary of Bal Gangadhar Tilak with special prayers led by BGUS president G Raghava Reddy.
Former Haryana Governor Bandaru Dattatreya, RSS Telangana Sangh Chalak Sunder Reddy, Hindu Vahini secretary Yadireddy, office-bearers and devotees attended the programme.
Members of the Samithi also paid floral tributes to Bal Gangadhar Tilak by garlanding his statue at Begum Bazaar.
