Hyderabad, Feb. 23 -- The Ayurvedic Village at State Institute of Correctional Administration (SICA), Chanchalguda, was formally inaugurated by Dr. Soumya Mishra, Director General of Prisons and Correctional Services here on Monday.

The facility, a reformative and welfare initiative of the Prisons Department, has been reopened after a gap of six years.

Its revival marks a step toward integrating healthcare services with correctional rehabilitation.

The department also announced plans to replicate the model by establishing similar Ayurvedic Villages in other prisons in the near future.
