Hyderabad, March 1 -- In a significant milestone towards strengthening indigenous defence capabilities, the Authority of Holding Sealed Particulars (AHSP) of the Carrier Command Post Tracked (CCPT) vehicle was formally transferred at Ordnance Factory Medak (OFMK) near here on Friday.
The Vehicle is designed by the Combat Vehicles Research and Development Establishment (CVRDE), DRDO, and used as a command vehicle for effective deployment of Self-Propelled (SP) Artillery guns, a Defence release said here.
CCPT is developed on the extended chassis of the BMP-2 as per Indian Army requirements, with automotive mobility matching that of SP guns on a tracked platform.
