Panchkula, Oct. 21 -- Haryana Vidyut Prasaran Nigam Limited (HVPNL) has put contingency arrangements in place, deployed personnel across six transmission circles and barred leave for staff assigned strike duty ahead of a three-day statewide power employees' and engineers' strike from October 22 to 24.
The measures follow a strike call by the Haryana Bijli Karamchari Evam Engineers Sanyukt Sangharsh Morcha, according to an office order issued with the approval of the managing director.
Under the arrangements, officers and employees from various headquarters branches have been placed at the disposal of chief engineers overseeing transmission systems in Panchkula and Hisar to manage any eventuality during the strike.
